On Monday, Google added one more feather in YouTube’s cap. The gigantic company has rolled out an update for its app YouTube for iOS with a great deal of features which includes access to Live Streaming, My Subscriptions feed and Video Queuing for TV Playback. The app is updated to version 1.3.
The most momentous addition in this version is the ability of the app to support live streaming. Now you can keep an eye on the events as they happen using your mobile regardless of where you are. Earlier access to live streaming was only possible via the YouTube browser based web app. YouTube, which has the largest video streaming audience, can strengthen its audience base with the help of this feature.
Another important addition is “My Subscription” feed. This feature shows all the latest uploads from the user’s subscriptions. The sidebar, which contains the list of channels the user is subscribed to, shows the recently uploaded videos.
And finally there is one more important addition for the users who watch YouTube on TV. Now you can queue up the videos directly from YouTube app to the TV or any other consoles using the YouTube’s “Send To TV” functionality which was released recently.
