After conquering the social networking field, Twitter has finally entered into the world of music. Few days back Twitter has unveiled its much anticipated music app but it is limited to only few celebrities.
Recently, Ryan Seacrest(@RyanSeacrest), American Idol host tweeted-“playing with @twitter‘s new music app (yes it’s real!)…there’s a serious dance party happening at idol right now”. Some of the lucky celebrities who got the hands on this music app are testing it with various tunes.
This app is expected to help the twitter users in discovering the music through the tweets using #NowPlaying hash tag.
Twitter claimed that it acquired the “We Are Hunted”, a music company based in Australia. The music recommendation engine of that company is being employed in the twitter’s music app. The app makes use of cloud server based audio streaming service.
Twitter music website https://music.twitter.com is launched but it is still not yet opened for all the users. The app uses services like SoundCloud and iTunes to display trending artist, up-and-coming artist, according to another tweet of Ryan Seacrest.
The app is expected to be released later this week for all the users.
