After the recent success of Xperia Z, Sony has launched a mid-range device Sony Xperia SP. The device is available for pre-order on the company’s U.S based online store. Sony Xperia SP was hyped as a mid-range device but it has been spotted that the device is available for 489.99$.
It is an HD phone which comes with a decent number of features and a standard performance benchmarks. The device boasts a spectacular aluminium-frames design.
This gadget runs on Android 4.1(Jelly Bean) and is powered by 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 Processor CPU with Adreno 320 GPU. It has a Capacitive Touchscreen with display of 4.6 inches and a 720×1280 pixels resolution. A 8 mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash and auto focus is incorporated in the device. Sony Xperia SP includes 8 GB internal memory of which 1 GB is dedicated for RAM. The memory can be expanded upto 32 Gb using micro SD card.
The connectivity options include 2G, 3G(HSDPA), 4G(LTE) and the data options include Bluetooth v4.0, Wi-Fi and also NFC.
Shipping of unlocked version of Sony Xperia SP is due to begin from May 20 in U.S.
